March 2026 marks the five-year anniversary for Texas Radiotherapy: five years of serving cancer patients with compassion, excellence, and personalized care.
Texas Radiotherapy began in 2021, as a shared vision between radiation oncologist Dr. Matthew Cavey and his wife Sara Cavey. Together, they’ve grown Texas Radiotherapy into a trusted destination for cancer treatment, built on relationships, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to putting patients first.
To celebrate, Texas Radiotherapy will honor this milestone with in-office décor, celebrations, and special moments with current and past patients to celebrate their journeys.
A Vision Built Around Patients
Texas Radiotherapy was founded with a clear purpose—to create a place where patients feel known, valued, and supported from the moment they walk through the door.
As Dr. Cavey stated.
“Sara and I started Texas Radiotherapy to put the patients first, to treat them like family and to be a premier destination for excellent cancer care. We are both extremely happy that we have been able to help so many patients conquer cancer.”
That philosophy is evident in every interaction, every treatment plan, and every effort to ensure patients feel both confident in their care and cared for as individuals.
Sara Cavey reflected on the practice’s beginnings and growth:
“Five years ago, we had a dream to build a place that would make everyone who entered our doors know that they were at a place that would put them first and know them by name. I think we’ve achieved that, but Dr. Cavey and I always know that there is more to do.”
Care That Patients Feel and Remember
Over the past five years, Texas Radiotherapy patients have sent the team notes of encouragement and gratitude for their care.
Patient, Rick Navarro shared:
“Every morning the ladies always greeted me by name—always—and all the techs were ready for me. They were always great to work with, and I will always be in their debt.”
Bobby Lackey reflected:
“Dr. Cavey’s bedside manner is above 5 stars. He is extremely professional, caring, and knowledgeable. His entire staff treated me with kindness and respect. I am very satisfied and grateful.”
Another patient, Robert Oliveira, described his care:
“The treatment protocol was carefully explained and performed by a team of people that treated me like a family member. I would not hesitate to recommend Texas Radiotherapy to anyone looking for cancer treatment.”
Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Purpose
As Texas Radiotherapy celebrates five years, they do so with gratitude—for the honor and responsibility to help patients fight cancer every day.
