I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March. There has been no cancer in my family. This came as a considerable shock to my world. Doctor Cavey suggested a plan consisting of hormone therapy, 28 daily external radiation treatments, and radioactive seed implants. I have just completed this plan. From my first meeting with Dr. Cavey, I knew I had come to the right place. His knowledge, experience, and patience in explaining this plan gave me the confidence that everything would be okay. The office staff and the technicians that conducted the external radiation sessions were all prodessional, friendly, and helpful. They were never rushed, always supportive, cheerful, understanding, and on  time with the radiation sessions. Throughout the 28 days of therapy, everything went well I wasn’t happy with the gold seed installation it was very hurtful and the installation of the camera to check my prostate size. I feel could’ve went better, but overall everything went very well. I was filled with trepidation and concern on my first visit to Texas Radiotherapy for treatment, as most would be. Suffice to say that the staff, every one of them, allayed those feeling from the very first moment. I cannot express adequately the excellence and professionalism of these folks. They are knowledgeable, professional, and consummate care givers. I never felt like a number.
Cancer treatment is not fun, but the folks at Texas Radiotherapy make one feel cared for, and at home. They, and the whole operation, are simply the best. I can never repay them.

Update: I have just had my final meeting with Dr. Cavey, for a year. I return in a year for a review, and that is great for me. Again, I reiterate; this place is amazing. The staff is wonderful. They know me, and they care. Dr. Cavey is the best. I could not be happier with my treatment, and the results speak for themselves. Dr Cavey and staff @ Texas Radiotherapy are literally life savers. I was treated for prostate cancer at this facility November 2022 - February 2023 and now the cancer is gone! I am so thankful that I was proactive in regards to seeking treatment because I know of a gentleman who ignored his prostate cancer diagnosis and the cancer spread throughout his body. I have recently spent a lot of time with the folks at Texas Radiotherapy and I want to thank them for such a wonderful experience. I wish had met under different circumstances but the way this team took care of me and treated me was above and beyond. If you are reading this because you are in need of radiation therapy/treatment, I will personally recommend Dr Cavey and his team, they were extremely helpful and professional.
